The World Reimagined globes return in new exhibition at National Maritime Museum in Greenwich

Thirty-six globes from the groundbreaking racial justice art project The World Reimagined, including my own globe ‘Echoes Talk Back’, are back on display at the National Maritime Museum this Spring in a new outdoor exhibition.

The World Reimagined aims to transform how we understand the transatlantic slave trade and its impact on all of us.

A series of giant globes, each created by a different artist, are laid out across the lawns of the National Maritime Museum.

Each globe takes you on a journey of discovery, exploring themes including slavery and emancipation, racial justice, community and hopeful visions for the future.

Throughout 2022 The World Reimagined toured the UK, with public sculpture trails set up in seven different cities from London to Liverpool.

Now the globes have arrived in Greenwich, and will be on display every day until 25 June – including during landmark celebration days such as Caribbean Takeover, World Oceans Day and the 75th anniversary of the Windrush's arrival in Britain.

See them for free outside the National Maritime Museum, and find out more about each globe on The World Reimagined website.
